Living With Type 1 Diabetes?
Join Jay Hewitt for a free lecture sure to be both both motivational for the everyday athlete and educational for those with living with diabetes. Jay is an Elite Ironman Triathlete and the only athlete with Type 1 diabetes to qualify for the US National Triathlon team. The event will be
on Thursday, March 15th: 6pm Reception and dinner, lecture begins at 6:30. It will be held at the Crowne Plaza Richmond West. For more information or to RSVP (March 9 is registration deadline), contact Amy Landing at alanding@insulet.com or call 804-317-4036.
RTC will once again be having a booth at the 10K Expo on Thursday, March 29 and Friday, March 30. We need members to help tell runners about the tri club and answer their triathlon-related questions. We also are recruiting volunteers to ride their bike on the trainer. If you can help for an hour or two, please sign up!
The ONE & ONLY race the Richmond Tri Club will produce in 2012 will be held on Sept. 16th.
The Richmond Tri Club Sprint Triathlon presented by 3Sports will be at the Shady Grove YMCA. It replaces the 3Sports Tri the club has put on in July in previous years.
RTC is a non-profit organization and this race is the club's biggest fundraiser. We appreciate your support and encourage all members to either race or volunteer.
Registration is now open and if you sign up by January 1st, the cost is only $50 with your RTC discount - what a deal! A huge after-party is planned as well.
